Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA)

Occurs Annually in the Spring
This collection, on behalf of the Diocese, is to aid vocations, religious education, campus ministry, the televised Catholic Mass, Diocesan School Services and a host of other worthwhile services provided by the Diocese.

S*H*A*R*E

The S*H*A*R*E program is designed to reach out and meet the needs of the poor, which at the present time is accomplished by collecting food and paper supplies for Our Lady of Lourdes Hospitality Kitchen. Food may be brought in at any time and placed in the bin in the Ushers' Room.

S*H*A*R*E is also responsible for the Giving Tree at Christmas that benefits our area nursing homes. Special holiday and Lenten food collections enable Our Lady of Lourdes Parish to provide weekly lunches, holiday dinners and food bags. For more information please contact the Parish office at 419-866-6181.

St. Vincent De Paul

The St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Joan of Arc meets monthly and is organized to coordinate efforts to help the needy who reside within parish boundaries. A collection is taken on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month and helps furnish food, clothing, shelter, medicine, and furniture. Visits are made and appropriate help is given as determined by the St. Vincent de Paul membership. For more information please contact the parish office at 419-866-6181.

Bloodmobile

Twice a year we have a bloodmobile here at St. Joan of Arc in the school gym. Previous blood donors are called by a group of volunteers to donate a unit of blood. Most of these donors are SJA parishioners. We also call all “newcomers” to the parish since our last blood drive.

On the days of the drive, volunteers will assist the American Red Cross with registrations, record checking, vital statistics, monitoring blood taking, and fluid intake. These volunteers must be qualified with a program directed by the American Red Cross. For more information please contact Gene Lesak at 419-861-0161.
